A 68-year-old man with chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH) was referred to our hospital with persistent dyspnea. Organized thrombi with distal predominance were detected using pulmonary angiography (PAG); right heart catheterization relieved mean pulmonary artery pressure (mPAP) of 68 mmHg. Balloon pulmonary angioplasty (BPA) was considered; however, severe toxic erythema was observed after PAG despite steroid coverage, suggesting severe iodine contrast allergy. …
