We read with great interest the article by Cheloff et al. [1], which provides valuable insights into the treatment options for portal vein thrombosis (PVT) in patients with cirrhosis. The study highlights important findings regarding the use of anticoagulation, TIPS, and supportive care, particularly in relation to portal vein patency and overall survival. However, while the study presents significant conclusions, we believe there are additional factors, such as sample size, socioeconomic influences, and patient-centered considerations, that warrant further discussion. …
