With the rapid development of medical science in China, medical researchers and professionals all over the world hope to learn the latest on the Chinese medical field. In order to further promote exchange between medical circles in China and overseas, with the leadership of Prof. Xishan Hao, Editor-in-Chief of the Clinical Oncology and Cancer Research (formerly Chinese Journal of Clinical Oncology) and academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), the staffs of the editorial office of COCR founded the English Edition of the Journal. The editorial board is composed of 24 well-known specialists in oncology from China, USA, Canada and Japan. In addition, manuscripts will face careful English language editing.

Since the launch of the journal in 2005, it has won favorable praise from authors and readers. With its original research, fine scientific quality, and readability, it has become a guide for professionals and scholars in medical oncology, and a truly international journal.
