MRI-guided focused ultrasound (MRgFUS) offers an excellent non-invasive uterus-sparing treatment option for a selection of women with symptomatic uterine fibroids. MRgFUS involves precise thermal ablation of target tissue by focused ultrasound waves, guided by MRI to monitor temperature and anatomy, sparing surrounding structures. As a multidisciplinary, non-invasive, image-guided therapy, it aligns perfectly with several of radiology’s and gynecology’s missions for the future [
