Relationship between smoking intensity, genetic mutations, and disease progression in MDS

MedNet.nl: In a prospective cohort, tobacco smoking was associated with several genetic mutations related to myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS), suggesting that smoking may contribute to molecular pathogenesis. A doseresponse relationship was also demonstrated, as well as an association with progression and survival.
