Since the technique for liver segmentation using indocyanine green (ICG) was first reported,1 this method has been widely used for anatomic liver resection. ICG has typically been administered only once during surgery, when surgeons use the negative staining method.2 In this approach, blood flow is blocked by clamping the Glissonean sheaths flowing in the cancer-bearing hepatic segment, allowing the demarcation line of the ischemic area to be determined on the liver surface. …
