Abstract: Objective:To investigate the differential expression of miR-9in esophageal cancer tissues and noncancerous tissues. Methods:The expression of miR-9in both esophageal cancer and adjacent non-tumour tissues was quantified with SYBR GreenⅠbased qRT-PCR according to the formula of 2-ΔΔCT.The potential target genes of miR-9were predicted by TargetScan5.2,MiRanda,PITA,PicTar. Results:The expression of miR-9was significantly down-regulated in esophageal cancer tissues than their adjacent non-tumour tissues(P<0.05),which was correlated with lumph node metastasis(P<0.05),but not significantly correlated with other clinicopathologic parameters, including age, gender, histological type and clinical stage.GOLPH3,RAB34and ALCAM were confirmed as direct targets of miR-9.Conclusions:Lower-expression of miR-9in esophageal cancer is correlated with pathogenesis of esophageal cancer, which is related to lymph node metastasis.
