Liver transplantation plus chemotherapy prolongs overall survival in unresectable colorectal liver metastases

MedNet.nl: A liver transplant combined with chemotherapy significantly improves survival in selected patients with unresectable colorectal liver metastases compared with chemotherapy alone. The results of the TRANSMET study argue for the use of liver transplantation as a new standard treatment in this setting, the researchers say.
