Abstract

A patient who had undergone radiation therapy for cancer developed a white coating on their tongue. This was initially misdiagnosed as a fungal infection, leading to unnecessary treatment. The actual cause was dry mouth, a common side effect of radiation therapy. This case highlights the importance of accurate diagnosis and appropriate management of oral health conditions, especially after medical treatments.
