Many differences in clinical features between adults and children with anti-AMPAR encephalitis The autoimmune disease anti-AMPAR encephalitis was first described in 2009. The disease can occur in both adults and children. However, little is known about the clinical features and prognosis of this disease, especially in children. A retrospective cohort study therefore compared characteristics of adults and children with anti-AMPAR encephalitis and found striking differences.
