Pulmonary vein stenosis (PVS) is a feared complication of pulmonary vein isolation (PVI) with thermal ablation techniques and has been reported in approximately 0.1–0.8% of patients [1]. Severe PVS (defined as > 70% luminal narrowing) can be associated with severe morbidity, especially when more than one PV is involved. Treatment can be challenging and consists of transcatheter balloon angioplasty or stenting which can offer symptomatic improvement but repeat interventions are often necessary [2, 3]. …
