Speed of changes in symptoms correlates with survival in people with ALS

MedNet.nl: In amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, the role of lower and upper motor neurons has been extensively studied in relation to clinical phenotype and survival. What is new is the finding that the degree of change in disease burden shown by lower and upper motor neurons also provides useful information about the disease course.
